The best hotels in Bled: Top accommodations & places to stay

Most of the best hotels in Bled are located between the southern edge of the town and Straza Bled. The southern hill is a popular spot, as it houses some of the top things to do & see in Bled including an amusement park, toboggan ride, and viewpoints of the lake and castle.

If you want to stay closer to Bled Castle, there are also several great places on the northwestern side of the town.

The following eight hotels are the top recommendations when staying in the picturesque Bled region.

Old Bled House

Address: Zagoriška 12

The rustic accommodations of Old Bled House are more fitting for the quaint town of Bled. While many of the other hotels try to woo guests with fancy décor and modern amenities, this hotel focuses on providing an authentic experience.

Room Old Bled House

Located just 1,000 feet from the lake, the hotel is also a great place to start your journey. You can check out the local shops and restaurants before venturing around the lake and visiting other attractions.

While the hotel offers a lot of rustic charm, the rooms in Old Bled House do include some modern features. Sit back and relax while watching a movie on the flat-screen TV in your room. You also get free WIFI, allowing you to post your selfies with Bled Castle in the background.

As the most highly rated hotel in the town, this place doesn’t keep vacancies for very long. Book as early as you can if you want to reserve a room.

Rikli Balance Hotel

Address: Cankarjeva cesta 4

The popular Rikli Balance Hotel is a few short blocks from the lake and close to some of the best restaurants and shopping in the Bled region. Don’t let the outdated exterior fool you. The interior of the hotel was recently renovated.

Room Rikli Balance Hotel

All the rooms are air-conditioned and include their own balconies. You get great views of the lake if you’re lucky enough to get a room on the right side of the hotel.

Inside the Rikli Balance Hotel, you’ll also find plenty of amenities to help you unwind. Soak your weary bones in the steam baths, hot tubs, and saunas in the Ziva Wellness centre.

In the evening, treat yourself to local cuisine at the Veranda Restaurant on top of the hotel, with panoramic view from the terrace. This lovely lake-view hotel is a top-recommended choice for choosy travellers. It’s also another spot that quickly fills up during busy tourist seasons, so book early.

Hotel Astoria Superior

Address: Presernova 44

Mere minutes from the castle and the café-lined streets of the town, Hotel Astoria Superior is a convenient spot to rest during your stay. The newly refurbished hotel includes all the amenities you could need to stay comfortable when visiting the sites in Bled.

Room Hotel Astoria Superior

The Mediterranean-style décor helps create an attractive setting, with the Julian Alps and Bled Castle as backdrops. It’s a picturesque hotel that perfectly compliments the beauty of the Bled region.

While at the Hotel Astoria Superior, enjoy a dip in the sauna or hot tub. You can also rent a bike to get around the town or to check out nearby cycling routes. If you enjoy golf, the Bled Golf and Country Club is just a couple of kilometres away.

The hotel maintains a high rating from satisfied travellers, due to the helpful staff, clean sheets, and nice location.

Hotel Jelovica

Address: Cesta Svobode 8

Like the rest of the best hotels in Bled, Hotel Jelovica places you close to the top attractions. It takes just a few minutes to walk from the hotel to Bled Castle or the centre of town.

Room Hotel Jelovica

These hotels tend to include many of the same features. You can relax in the local wellness facility and start your day with a complimentary breakfast. What helps set this hotel apart from the others is the view you get from your room.

Most of the rooms in Hotel Jelovica look out on the lake and provide a view of Bled Castle. You can see these destinations from your hotel room before venturing outdoors to reach them in person.

Besides providing a convenient location and castle views, the hotel will help keep you hydrated with refreshing beverages at the bar or restaurant.

Hotel Triglav

Address: Kolodvorska 33

Located on the northwestern side of Lake Bled, Hotel Triglav is further from the action but offers a more tranquil setting. This four-star hotel opened in 1906 and was recently reopened after thorough renovations.

Room Hotel Triglav

You’ll also get access to the same amenities found at most hotels, including a modern spa centre with saunas and hot tubs. After enjoying a swim in the cold lake, you can warm up in the hotel’s saunas.

Your stay at Hotel Triglav should offer a break from busy tourist areas. You still get a clear view of the lake, but you need to walk along the lakeside trail to get a glimpse of the castle. The hotel includes an a-la-carte restaurant with authentic Slovenian cuisine and managed by one of Slovenia’s most sought-after chefs.

The hotel offers mesmerizing views from many of the rooms, but you pay a premium price for the lakeview rooms. If you want to save a little money, consider choosing one of the attic rooms.

Vila Bled

Address: Cesta svobode 26

As a lakefront hotel, Vila Bled is a top choice for foreign travellers that want to gaze at the majestic Lake Bled. The hotel is right on the lake and offers some of the best prices for lake-view hotel rooms.

Room Vila Bled

If you travel to Bled in the summer, the hotel has its own private swimming deck and a boathouse. You can take a paddle boat out on the lake or enjoy a swim.

From the Vila Bled restaurant patio, you get a clear shot of Bled Island and the Church of the Assumption. The restaurant serves authentic Slovenian dishes and international cuisine. They cater to all special dietary needs and even offer kid-friendly menu items.

While these are all great reasons to check out this hotel, most people love the size of the suites. The suites are spacious and reasonably priced, but the single rooms are a little overpriced for a mid-range hotel. On a positive note, the single rooms are quiet, providing a comfortable spot to re-energize between outings.

Adora Luxury Hotel

Address: Cesta Svobode 35

Like the previous option, Adora Luxury Hotel is right on the edge of Lake Bled. It’s also right next to Straza Bled and the amusement park. You can turn around and see the castle on the towering cliff behind the hotel. Take in these sights from the hotel’s garden featuring a small pavilion.

Room Adora Luxury Hotel

The hotel is designed as a traditional lake-view villa, with luxurious rooms and a boutique-style atmosphere. The décor includes classical-style furnishings, while the rooms feature modern luxuries, including flat-screen TVs with cable and free WIFI.

You’re also a short walk from the centre of town when you stay at the Adora Luxury Hotel. Each day of your stay, you can enjoy the short stroll to the nearby restaurants, bars, and shops that are just around the corner from the hotel.

If you want to explore further sites, the hotel has rental bikes. The hotel connects with the adjacent bike trails and hiking paths, which makes it easy to get around on two wheels or two feet.

Best Western Hotel Lovec

Address: Ljubljanska cesta 6

If you’re a frequent traveller, you’ve likely stayed at hotels like the Best Western Hotel Lovec. It’s part of the massive hotel chain and looks a lot like the other mid-range accommodations. While it’s not unique or special, it’s a convenient place to rest during your stay in Bled.

Room Best Western Premier Hotel Lovec

No matter what type of room you book, you get your own balcony with either a park-view or lake-view. You can sit out on the balcony with your coffee as you gaze at Bled Island or the Julian Alps.

To keep guests happy and full, the Best Western Hotel Lovec has its own restaurant and bar. The restaurant serves Slovenian cuisine and a fine selection of local wine. Get fresh air as you eat your food out on the large terrace with shading provided by the nearby centennial chestnut trees.

The hotel also has its own bar, offering a wide selection of more than 40 foreign beers, local snacks, and artisan brews. Besides these features, you get access to all the typical amenities, including free parking and WIFI. You’re also just across the street from a small grocery store and ATM.
